About Jean Horter
Jeannie is a licensed clinician with 20 years of experience, earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Point Park University and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Geneva College. She has worked with all age groups and diagnoses. She specializes in ADHD, Autism, Mood disorders, Addiction and Trauma. Jeannie is trained in and utilizes modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma from a neurobiological standpoint, healthy relationships, strength-based, behavior modification, tapping, and acceptance and commitment therapy. She works from a trauma-informed perspective, always thinking, “What happened to you?” versus “What is wrong with you?” She is passionate about mental health awareness and has worked with legislators in Harrisburg and Philadelphia to lobby for mental health and addiction legislation and bills to be passed. She enjoys downtime with her children and her pets.
