About Amy Tenney
Amy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Licensed Professional Music Therapist. She provides individual counseling for children, adolescents, and adults, in a warm, empathetic, and collaborative environment.
Amy has experience with a variety of mental health issues including: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, and trauma. Using a holistic and individualized approach to therapy, Amy values the therapeutic relationship and helping clients achieve personal growth. She uses techniques from client-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), as well as play therapy with children. Clients can choose whether or not to incorporate music into sessions.
Outside of the office, Amy enjoys spending time with family and friends, the arts, nature, and learning about cultures other than her own.
