Alicia is a mental health counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. She completed her clinical training at Harvard Medical School–affiliated institutions, including the Wyman Center for Mental Health at Mount Auburn Hospital, Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, and Right Turn, Inc.
Alicia works with adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, and families, including multi-generational families, to navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, addiction and trauma recovery, caregiving responsibilities, and major life transitions. She integrates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), traditional talk therapy, relationship and family systems work, mindfulness, and expressive arts therapy. Her work is guided by each client’s strengths, cultural background, personal goals, and deeply held values.
Alicia draws on attachment-based, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-oriented approaches. She helps clients understand how early relationships, family patterns, and significant life experiences continue to shape their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. She believes meaningful change occurs through insight, connection, and purposeful action. Alicia helps clients recognize unhelpful patterns, develop greater psychological flexibility, and make choices that reflect what matters most to them.
Her approach is collaborative, warm, and practical, creating a space where clients can navigate challenges, build on existing strengths, and create lives that feel authentic, meaningful, and aligned with their goals.
