Shelby believes that every client deserves a safe, judgment-free space where they can feel heard, understood, and empowered to reach their goals. She enjoys incorporating creative activities, games, and hands-on interventions into sessions to help clients feel comfortable while building coping skills and confidence.Shelby utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care.
On a personal note, Shelby loves spending time outdoors and can often be found kayaking, searching for shark teeth and seashells along the beach, or baking something sweet. She believes that building genuine connections and a little laughter along the way can make therapy feel less intimidating and is excited to support clients as they begin their journey toward healing and growth.
