About Baila Lakatos
Baila believes every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported. She takes a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, helping children, teens, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges while recognizing and building on their unique strengths.
She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work from Wayne State University and brings valuable experience from child welfare, adoption services, residential treatment, and behavioral health. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside individuals and families experiencing significant life transitions, behavioral health concerns, and complex family dynamics.
Baila utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed, strengths-based care. She believes therapy is most effective when clients feel safe, empowered, and supported in creating meaningful, lasting change.
