Eric brings a variety of clinical counseling experience that incorporates work with diverse populations. He brings knowledge from roles in outpatient clinic treatment, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, home-based crisis intervention, and family therapy treatment. Eric’s specialties include suicidality, anxiety/panic concerns, depression, life transitions, grief, trauma, relational pathology, and anger. Most recently, he has worked as part of an intensive, home-based mental health program for youth with complex psychiatric needs, with a goal of preventing hospitalization, residential placement, and ultimate separation from family. He incorporates a variety of evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-focused (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eco-systemic family therapy (ESFT). As a mental health provider, he recognizes that therapeutic rapport is the greatest indicator of successful treatment outcomes, and therefore strives to build meaningful relationships with his clients, valuing to know them on a deeper level. Eric carries a deep passion for treating trauma specifically, and approaches the therapy process with a sensitivity to the assumption that trauma is in the room. He emphasizes that life can often feel like a flight of ideas, and that the therapy process can help realize, and navigate those ideas. Eric believes in creating a non-judgmental space that fosters safety, autonomy, and growth. He encourages anyone looking for support to reach out and schedule with him today.
