About Jane Stead

Jane Stead is a LCSW who received her Master’s of Social Work Degree from The Ohio State University. Jane grew up in Columbus, OH and only recently moved to the St Petersburg area. Prior to moving to St Petersburg, Jane worked in a variety of mental health settings.

Jane interned at an inpatient psychiatric hospital and also worked in settings that include residential treatment, outpatient, and community-based services where she specialized in depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic medical conditions and substance use disorders. Jane utilizes CBT, DBT and Solution Focused Therapy. Jane also utilizes Motivational Interviewing to help clients determine where they are in the stages of change and to help guide them to the next stage.

When not working, Jane enjoys working out, hanging out with her cats, watching true crime, spending time with family, and exploring her new area which has so much more sun and more to offer. Jane is hopeful to find places to volunteer, as well as new places to spend her free time.
