Wilmarie received her masters degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling and has a wide range of experience working in non-profit settings. Wilmarie works to collaborate with people focused towards empowerment and building on resiliency to combat obstacles life never seems to stop throwing our way. Wilmarie approaches therapy with warmth, kindness and transparency prioritizing a person-centered approach. She works diligently to create spaces for people to be human when maneuvering the complexities of what it means to be a person in today’s world.

Therapy with Wilmarie will feel like the opportunity to be who you are unapologetically. You can expect to learn new information, additional perspectives to consider and empowerment to live life for you. Her goal is for you to remain in the driver seat of your thoughts, feelings and physical aversions when life gets tough.

Additionally Wilmarie is Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She has worked with families completing Child Family Trauma Stress Interventions therapeutic model following traumatic experiences within the family. She has also completed National Forensic Interview training and has experience in building trauma narratives for children and adolescents. Wilmarie is currently working with the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy where she is training for Sex Therapy certification.
