Valerie Asman, MSW, LISW-S


Valerie is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. Valerie enjoys working with individuals and families to find solutions that best fit them and giving them a safe and positive environment to create personal growth. Valerie has training in the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model and is nationally certified. She has received continuing education on the ethics of being an LGBTQ+ ally. Valerie has worked with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing symptoms of oppositional defiance, anxiety, mood instability, inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, depression, and post-traumatic stress. When working with clients Valerie enjoys using motivational interviewing. In her spare time, Valerie enjoys going to concerts and spending time at home with her dog.
