Symone Jones, LMSW

Therapist

If you’re feeling concerned about your child or teen’s emotional or behavioral well-being, you are not alone — support is available. I am Symone Jones-Smith, a therapist with over eight years of experience helping children, adolescents, and their families navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and behavioral concerns. My goal is to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where young people feel understood and families feel supported.

I work closely with families to identify strengths, improve communication, and develop practical strategies that promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive growth. I believe meaningful change happens when therapy is a partnership, and I strive to empower both youth and caregivers throughout the process.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Prairie View A&M University and remain deeply committed to culturally responsive, strengths-based care that meets each family where they are. I’m mentored by DeEdra Powell, LCSW-S, as I continue to strengthen my ability and knowledge to provide comprehensive care.

During my clinical training at Kingwood Pines Hospital, I provided crisis intervention and stabilization services for children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health needs. This experience strengthened my ability to respond with empathy, structure, and effective therapeutic interventions during difficult moments.

Seeking support is a powerful first step. Together, we can work toward healing, build confidence and coping skills, and create a path toward a brighter and more hopeful future.
