Steve is an empathetic therapist who takes a client centered approach. Steve believes the relationship between therapist and client is incredibly important, which is why Steve strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, valued, and empowered. Steve is a strong believer in collaboration with clients and tailoring the therapeutic experience to meet their needs. Steve is passionate about exploring the stories we tell ourselves and how they shape our experience of the world, which is why narrative therapy is one of Steve’s go-to therapeutic modalities. However, Steve also is well versed in modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, experiential therapy, and somatic therapy. Steve is a big believer in being flexible and responding to change, so during the course of therapy Steve may employ a mixture of two or more of these modalities depending on what works best for you. Most of all, Steve wants to be a partner with you on your journey towards improved insight, peace of mind, and quality of life.
Steve’s hobbies include weightlifting, trying to become a better cook, and collecting more records and books than he can ever find the time to dive into.
