Stephanie De La Garza, LPC Associate

Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

Hello, Hello! My name is Stephanie De La Garza, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Dr. Bernadette Smith, LPC-Supervisor. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and have been in the mental health field for 2 years. I am passionate about working with older teens and adults aged 15 and older, specializing in trauma, grief, and relationship challenges.

During my therapy sessions, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship dynamics. My approach is compassionate, non-judgmental, and goal-focused to empower clients in their journey toward healing and personal growth.

Outside of work, I enjoy open water swimming (often at Barton Springs in Austin), staying active by going on walks with friends and/or my dog, exploring new cultures through events and food, and discovering new music.
