Shayla Harris, LSW

Outpatient Therapist

Shayla Harris has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work and is currently a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). Shayla has been able to work in the community and in the outpatient setting as a social worker for the past several years. During her time in social work and community mental health, Shayla has had the opportunity to gain experience with a wide variety of mental health and substance use concerns.

She specializes in substance use disorders, grief or bereavement, and serious mental illness and enjoys meeting people where they are in their mental health or substance use recovery. She hopes to create a comforting environment with a trauma-informed approach to ensure individuals feel heard in their own personal journey. Shayla utilizes aspects of the Matrix Model, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and more evidence-based practices to shape her therapeutic approach.

Shayla is committed to meeting adult individuals where they are in their own personal journey and assisting them in reaching their own personal goals. Outside of her professional endeavors, Shayla enjoys spending time with her many cats, reading, binge-watching tv shows or movies (with Friends being a favorite), and spending time with family and friends.
