Sequoia is a dedicated Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor and is currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.
Sequoia brings experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, supporting clients as they navigate a range of challenges including anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, and neurodivergence (such as autism and ADHD). In addition to individual counseling, she has facilitated group therapy sessions focused on building self-esteem, fostering healthy relationships, and developing effective coping strategies.
Her clinical strength lies in creating a warm, collaborative, and affirming environment where clients feel welcomed, understood, and empowered to grow. She is also deeply committed to advocacy and mental health equity to raise awareness about mental health and sickle cell disease.
Outside of her clinical work, Sequoia enjoys music, reading, writing, and exploring creative outlets that inspire her both personally and professionally. She values spending time with loved ones, quiet moments of reflection, and maintaining a healthy balance between growth and rest.
