Sarah Vidal, LMSW

Sarah is a licensed social worker specializing in the treatment of disordered eating, body image concerns, and trauma. Sarah possesses strong passion for working with LGBTQ+ individuals, knowing that body dysmorphia is particularly pervasive amongst trans and gender non-conforming folks. She has experience working with clients at various levels of care including residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient, and is ready to meet you where you are at in your journey toward better mental wellness. She does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, but rather one that is client centered and based on collaboration.

Sarah holds a masters degree in social work from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service and a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Fordham University at Lincoln Center. She is a strong advocate for Health at Every Size, Intuitive Eating, and body neutrality. Her approach is trauma-informed, integrative, compassionate and draws heavily on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
