Sarah Borger, MA, LPCC

Therapist

Sarah believes that people don’t come to therapy with their problems, but with their solutions. Sometimes the solutions we’ve created to survive, push through, protect, avoid, or heal aren’t working for us any longer. Each person is the expert of their own experience; Sarah’s goal is to walk alongside people to provide insight, empathy, and strategies that support people on their journeys to expand what next steps are possible.

Sarah provides therapy for a wide range of issues, specializing in working through trauma, sexual abuse/assault, relationship violence, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ identity development, self-esteem, and life transitions. Sarah is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and also utilizes mindfulness, narrative, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused strategies in sessions. Sarah’s approach is trauma-informed and social justice-centered. Compassion, collaboration, and a sense of humor are integral pieces of her therapeutic practice.

Sarah is passionate about providing strengths-based therapy and support groups for adolescents and adults from all walks of life, and has worked in clinical, educational, and community-based settings. When not in the office, she can be found on a yoga mat, playing piano, or enjoying time with her two zany rescue dogs.
