Samaa brings a grounded, warm and empathic place in her session. She likes to move at a pace that is client led, providing strong rapport and trust between the client and herself.
Samaa studied Community Psychology at University of Washington for undergraduate studies and went to the University at Buffalo for a Masters in Social Work. She has years of work experience in various settings within community mental health in the PNW, working with a wide range of clients from children to seniors (with a focus on BICOP youth).
She specializes in complex trauma, eating disorders, anxiety and depression. She uses a strength-based client focused approach, and believes that it’s crucial to meet a client where they are at, and recognizing that humans are complex with different identities and life experiences.
Fluent in both English and Arabic, Samaa is able to provide care that is culturally inclusive, ensuring that clients with multiple identities and cultures can feel seen and heard and can receive the best level of care.
Samaa practices at Ellie Mental Health under the Clinical Supervision of Clinical Director, Maya Sanchez, LMHC.
