Reid is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and is THRILLED to be part of the Ellie Mental Health Estero team! He has had the great pleasure of serving clients at the inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient therapy levels. Reid has served clients ages 12 and up for almost 10 years always bringing compassion and anecdotes of humor to help tackle those hard to discuss topics. Meeting a client and accepting them fully for who they are as well as where they are in their mental health journey, Reid approaches each client with compassion. His areas of expertise include those of the LGBTQ+ community, those who may be struggling with gender identity and expression, those in various stages of the transition process, substance use recovery, and relationship issues. Reid has specific training in trauma with Prolonged Exposure Therapy, works comfortably with Cognitive Behavior Therapy approaches as well as person-centered, allowing the client to make the choices that are best for them.
On a personal note, Reid is a big movie fan and when he isn’t seeing the newest movie with his 10-year-old daughter and best movie buddy, enjoys planning his next visit to a major league baseball stadium! 17 down and 13 to go 😊
