Rachael Munns, LPC

Therapist

Rachael is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about creating a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. She takes a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to therapy, meeting clients where they are and supporting them as they navigate life’s challenges with compassion and curiosity.

Rachael integrates evidence-based and holistic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, mindfulness, and values-based work. Rachael has experience working in both inpatient and university settings, supporting adults navigating life transitions, stress management, relationship concerns, identity and gender exploration, and self-discovery.

In addition, Rachael has worked with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, suicidal ideation, and chronic self-harm. She is dedicated to helping clients build coping skills, foster resilience, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and empowerment in their lives.

Rachael understands that starting therapy can feel intimidating, and she deeply honors the courage it takes to be vulnerable. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most powerful tools for healing and growth, and she prioritizes building a genuine, trusting connection with each client. She views therapy as a collaborative space where both therapist and client bring valuable expertise—Rachael offers clinical knowledge and guidance, while clients are the experts of their own lived experiences. Together, they work as a team to explore challenges, celebrate strengths, and create meaningful change. Rachael embraces the full range of the therapeutic experience, making space not only for deep emotional work, but also for laughter, authenticity, moments of silence, and the celebration of progress along the way. She operates from the belief that clients are always doing the best they can, and she is honored to partner with them in that journey.

Outside of the therapy room, Rachael enjoys reading and participating in book club, crafting with her friends, playing Stardew Valley, reading fanfiction, and spending time cuddling with her cat, Briar.
