Paul Garver, LMHC

Therapist

Paul Garver is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). He earned his master’s degree in counseling from New Mexico Highlands University and has worked with a wide range of clients in both individual and group therapy settings. Primarily using cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and compassion-focused therapy, Paul has helped to treat anxiety, depression, alcohol and substance use, adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other conditions. Prior to becoming a therapist, Paul spent 30 years in public administration and the museum profession, a career path that took him from his Southern California homeland to Virginia, and Washington, D.C., then back to the wild west. For fun, he writes sci-fi thrillers with his identical twin, and enjoys cooking, gardening, and wrangling cats and dogs with his partner, whom Paul met in 2001. They have called New Mexico home since 2012.
