Norah utilizes innovative and creative methods to explore the inner workings of the mind. During sessions, Norah is warm and collaborative, drawing from a psychodynamic foundation, she works from various evidence-based therapeutic approaches to illuminate underlying issues and traumas. Her clinical styles include modalities ranging from mindfulness-based therapies, cognitive behavioral approaches, somatic experiencing, humanistic and motivational interviewing techniques.
In addition to practicing as a mental health counselor, Norah is a Chopra Certified Meditation Teacher, Registered Yoga Teacher and Reiki Practitioner. Norah holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and a Master of Education in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University. Additionally, she trained at Columbia’s Spirituality, Mind, Body Institute where she explored combining science, psychology, and spirituality in treating mental health issues. She likes to integrate holistic sources such as meditation, and mindfulness-based interventions as a vehicle for healing.
Norah offers individual, couples and group counseling; her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, family & relational issues, life transitions, healing from trauma, substance use/recovery and self-exploration.
