Nina has worked within the mental health field for the last 3 years, where they are currently working towards their LICSW Licensing. The environment and characteristics that a client could expect from Nina is warm, welcoming, safe, compassionate, authentic, and nonjudgemental. Nina strives to develop a trusting relationship with their clients through rapport building and a holistic approach to services.
Nina believes that a supportive school environment and accessibility to mental health services plays a crucial role in helping young people navigate challenges and build resilience. Their approach to therapy is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Art Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Strength-based, and working collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to create a healthy support system.
When Nina is not working, she likes to be outdoors playing with her dog Wesley, and spending time with her husband, fishing, camping, playing the guitar and writing songs, and spending time with friends and family.
