My name is Nikki and I have a master’s degree in social work from Baylor University and a bachelor’s degree in special education from Illinois State University. As a Licensed Social Worker, I believe in an individualized and collaborative approach to therapy and draw from my training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My goal with each client is to help them heal from the past, embrace the present, and create the future they envision for themselves. My areas of special interest include working with teens and adults who struggle with suicidality and self-harm, parents of teens struggling with suicidality and self-harm, and parents of children with disabilities.
I’m a firm believer that perfection is a myth, life is better lived in community, and fur-baby snuggles are essential.
