Monica is a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in working with adolescents, adults, and families. She has worked in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient settings helping clients of diverse populations address challenges with eating disorders, body dysmorphia and body image issues, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship issues, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, personality disorders and trauma. Her approach to therapy is person-centered and she aims to provide trauma informed, LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity affirming care. Monica values providing a warm and safe space with clients. Monica welcomes clients with a genuine, gentle, and non-judgmental approach to be their most authentic self. Monica works with clients to create a strong, collaborative, and trusting therapeutic relationship. Monica utilizes various evidence-based practices depending on the needs of the client, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), solution focused therapy and art therapy. Monica takes on a curious and creative lens to find interventions that truly can meet clients where they are at. Monica is passionate to work with clients who are ready to take on a new therapeutic journey together. In her free time, Monica finds joy in reading, drawing/painting, cooking, watching movies, and playing board games with friends and family. She’s also a lover of Lord of the Rings, all music genres, candles and pickleball.
