Michelle is a compassionate therapist who believes acceptance and empathy are at the center of every therapeutic relationship. She puts an emphasis on meeting each client where they are at, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel safe sharing their thoughts, feelings, and concerns.
Prior to joining Ellie Mental Health, Michelle has worked in an acute setting with adults and adolescents that struggle with severe mental health issues and/or suffer from the disease of addiction. She has also worked in an outpatient setting with adults and adolscents to develop new insights, skills and solutions. Prior to that, she spent several years in residential treatment where she worked with children and adolescents and their families. She mainly utilizes techniques she has learned from completing trainings in TF-CBT and DDP. In particular using playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy in order to develop a therapeutic relationship that promotes healing.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking outside, and continuing to learn whenever given the opportunity.
