Michelle Carter, LPC

Clinical Director

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 25 years of diverse clinical and management experience. I provide individual, relationship and family therapy to individuals over the age of seven. All of us have had times in our lives when talking to someone whose is objective and empathetic would lead us on a more resolved and peaceful path. My goal is to assist in creating a more healthy, productive, and happier life for those who chose to engage in a therapeutic relationship.

I strive to provide a safe and supportive place where one can express their thoughts and challenges to work through them effectively. My primary approach is cognitive behavioral; however, I adapt to the individual client and what their needs are. The emergence of telehealth has created an easier and more convenient way to seek counseling.

Professionally, I served as the Executive Director of a Children’s Advocacy Center for 20 years, managing all aspects of treatment for trauma victims of child abuse. I have also worked in private practice as a counselor and consultant, as well as a Mental Health Counselor in an Independent School District.
