Michele Santiago-Mahoney, MS

Therapist (she/her)

“It is not just about where you have been, but also about where you are going.” Michele is honored to walk alongside her clients on their journeys of healing, clarity, and self-discovery.

Michele holds a B.A. in Applied Psychology from Simmons University and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Merrimack College. In addition to her formal training, her own life experiences deeply inform her work, grounding her approach in empathy, compassion, and genuine understanding. Michele specializes in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, neurodivergence (ASD, ADHD), trauma, suicidal ideation, personality disorders, and challenges related to addiction and recovery.

She wants her clients not only to set goals, but to feel their growth and experience a sense of safety and direction in the work they build together. Believing strongly in transparency and collaboration, Michele empowers clients to take an active role in their healing. She knows that the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of success, and she prioritizes building trust through honesty, respect, and authenticity. She tailors her approach to each client’s needs, integrating a blend of therapeutic interventions and theoretical frameworks.

Michele is fluent in Spanish, allowing her to connect meaningfully with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Michele became a therapist because—while chemical compounds were never her strength—compassion always was. She may not have every answer in the moment, but she is committed to seeking them with you and for you.

Above all, Michele strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and culturally responsive space. If it matters to you, it matters to her.
