Meryl strives to incorporate her authenticity and individual first approach to each client interaction in order to meet them where they are at. Her goal is to make every client feel special with her warm personality and emphasizes kindness, self-empowerment, and human connection. She has two years of experience in counseling as well as additional experience working with individuals in client-based settings. Meryl is a certified life coach which gives her a unique approach in addition to her background in cognitive-behavioral therapy and person-centered therapy. Meryl’s greatest passion, knowledge, and affinity are for the population of athletes on any level. She has firsthand experience as a student-athlete in multiple sports. Meryl has trained under and collaborated with numerous sport and performance psychologists to better understand the unique complexity of challenges that are specific to athletes. She also has experience working with clients experiencing anxiety and depression and has assisted in group therapy for women in recovery from substance use disorders in the past. In her free time, Meryl enjoys staying active, following Cleveland and collegiate sports, playing her guitar, and spending time with family and friends.
