Melissa Mapes, LPCC


Melissa believes in providing a warm, welcoming, non-judgmental, space for her clients so that together, you can identify ways to develop solutions for change. She has twenty-five years of experience in the mental health field. She likes to use an integrative approach that uses different therapeutic tools that fit the needs of each individual. She often uses interventions from Solution-Focused, Humanistic, and Psychodynamic therapy. She has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is interested in working with individuals ages eighteen and older. When she is not counseling, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs Phoenix and Max, gardening, enjoying the outdoors and dreaming of the beach.
