Melanie Stettz, LCSW-C is a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults of all ages, older adolescents, families and couples. She was awarded her MSW in Clinical Behavioral Health from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She earned her B.A. from Georgetown University and an MBA from George Washington University. Melanie has been honored to work with hospice patients, military populations and those living with developmental disabilities. As a former Peace Corps volunteer in Central America (RPCV), she speaks Spanish with non-native fluency and has lived and worked in several countries.
Melanie utilizes a client-centered, strength-based and trauma-informed approach to therapy. Her work is integrative and draws from multiple modalities including ACT, CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, Narrative, Existential, Nature and Gestalt Therapy.
