Hi, I’m Megan (she/her)! I recently completed my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Indiana University Southeast, and I gained experience during my practicum and internship experiences working in private practice with both adults and children. I specialize in working with neurodivergent folks and members of the LGBTQIA+ population around issues such as gender identity and expression, boundary-setting, and self-acceptance. I also enjoy helping with trauma healing, sex therapy, anxiety, and relationship issues. I see primarily adults and adolescents, although I do take a limited number of clients under the age of 12.
I recognize that people are affected not just by their own individual brain chemistry but also by the larger systems and cultural factors that influence their lives. I utilize an eclectic approach, pulling from modalities such as CBT, DBT, relational-cultural, and person-centered therapy. My approach to therapy is based on collaboration and a recognition that you are the expert on your own life. I believe in building on the strengths and resources you already possess.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, gaming, and traveling with my partner and two teenage daughters.
