Hi! I’m Megan (she/her), and I’m currently finishing my master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Indiana University Southeast. I’m excited to be joining the team at Ellie as an intern, where I am supervised by licensed professionals while I grow my skills as a therapist.
I have previous internship experience in private practice, where I worked primarily with the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities. I’m passionate about providing high-quality mental health care to historically marginalized and underserved folks in our community.
As a therapist, I am warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I approach therapy from a relational feminist perspective, meaning I consider not just individual factors but also the broader systems and cultural factors that influence my clients’ lives. I’ve received training in person-centered and humanistic counseling, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I’m particularly interested in working with individuals and couples around issues of anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, and relationship issues.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, gaming, and traveling with my partner and two daughters, who are 12 and 14.
