Megan is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with teens, young adults, & members of the LGBTQ+ population, ages 12 & up.
Megan considers herself a strengths-based therapist who enjoys helping clients recognize their inherent resilience in the face of stressors & build courage to be their authentic selves. Megan’s first goal in therapy with each client is to build a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, supported, heard, & understood, utilizing a blend of compassion, empathy, & light-heartedness. Megan incorporates CBT & DBT as well as traditional psychodynamic talk therapy to help clients understand their thoughts & feelings on a deeper level & identify behaviors & skills to help them feel unstuck.
Megan has worked with clients struggling with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, relational stressors, life transitions, trauma, suicidal ideation, & self-harm behaviors.
Megan is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community & thus greatly enjoys working with & supporting those struggling with the stressors that accompany discovering & embracing one’s own identity, finding community, & coming out to others.
Outside of the office, Megan is a big fan of the arts, & is a particularly big fan of dark comedies & horror movies. She is especially attached to her rescue mutt, Gus, & has 3 cats as well.
