Therapist

Matthew Lubomirski is a mental health clinician with a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Assumption University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from Clark University. He brings with him a wide range of knowledge and experience in the areas of domestic violence, emotionally disturbed youth, and substance abuse. He combines these experiences with a deep understanding of motivational and ethical philosophies to support clients in reaching their goals.

Matthew uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundation for his work and implements other evidence based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) to best match the therapy to the client.

Matthew takes a strengths based approach to his therapy helping clients recognize their successes as they build further momentum for positive change. He strives to help clients integrate their personal interests into therapy so they can be used as engaging therapeutic tools. Most importantly, Matthew aims to teach, modify, and integrate the skills needed for better mental health into daily life, making good mental health not only feel achievable but manageable.
