Markysha Douglas, LCSW


Markysha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from New York University with her Master’s in Social Work and Bachelors in Applied Psychology. She has extensive years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families within multiple contexts such as schools, homes, and within their communities. Markysha has specific training in how to navigate the complex issues related to the mental health of children and young adults as it relates to personal, social and academic livelihood. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Therapy as therapeutic frameworks in session while valuing a humanistic approach. Markysha is dedicated to providing a safe, empathetic, and relaxed environment rooted in the belief of always meeting the client where they are.
