Marissa Baldanza, LMSW

Therapist

Marissa specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults who face challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and stress management. She is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can openly express themselves. Marissa works collaboratively with her clients to identify obstacles and develop effective coping mechanisms to manage life’s stressors—one step at a time.

In her practice, Marissa utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients explore the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how these affect their everyday lives. She tailors her approach based on the individual needs of her clients, adjusting strategies as their goals evolve.

Marissa is passionate about guiding individuals through their healing journey. She understands that life can often feel overwhelming or fall short of expectations, and she is committed to providing a compassionate, listening ear. Whether clients are struggling with persistent worry, feelings of inadequacy, or seeking greater emotional awareness, Marissa works alongside them to create a plan for growth and well-being.

Marissa earned her Master’s in Social Work from Adelphi University and is a New York State Licensed Master Social Worker. She is deeply committed to helping clients recognize their strengths and embrace the unique aspects that make them who they are.
