Mariah Amesbury, LGSW

Therapist

As a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW), Mariah is passionate about helping clients connect more deeply with themselves and the world around them. She primarily utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Somatic Experiencing type interventions, but approaches each therapeutic relationship with flexibility and curiosity—always open to integrating new modalities that best support each individual’s unique healing process. She believes in the power of intuition and the wisdom of the body, and encourages clients to explore and trust both as part of their journey.

Mariah prefers to work with individuals ages 14 to 75 but is flexible, and has experience supporting clients navigating a variety of needs, including but not limited to chronic illnesses and medical trauma to depression, religious trauma/deconstructing or reconstructing one’s faith, eating disorders, ADHD and more. Her approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that healing is possible when met with safety, compassion, and authenticity. Whether exploring your identity, working through trauma, or learning how to live more fully in the present, Mariah is here to walk alongside you with care and attunement.

When she isn’t working, Mariah enjoys engaging in creative outlets, thrifting, spending time in the sunshine, and frequenting local coffee shops.
