Marcela is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges while building healthier, more balanced lives. She earned her master’s degree from Barry University in 2009 and is passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to express themselves openly and authentically.

Marcela works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-harm behaviors, autism, and developmental concerns. She takes a client-centered and integrative approach to therapy, utilizing evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques. Her goal is to help clients better understand themselves, regulate emotions, strengthen coping skills, and build resilience for lasting growth.

As a bilingual therapist, Marcela is committed to providing culturally responsive care and believes every individual deserves a space where they feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their healing journey.

Outside of the therapy room, Marcela enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, exercising, volunteering within her community, and continuing to grow professionally through reading and ongoing education. She believes personal growth is a lifelong journey and feels honored to walk alongside her clients as they move toward meaningful change and emotional wellness.
