Mara collaborates with teens and adults, experiencing interpersonal distress, grief, loss, sexual assault and trauma, life transition, identity-related concerns and stress (related to career, relationships, communication, etc.). Mara enjoys connecting with individuals of all backgrounds who are interested in exploring their intersecting identities and want to work towards becoming their more authentic selves. She has extensive experience supporting college students transitioning in and out of college, and would be eager to support students juggling academics, family, work and life.
As a client you can expect a non-judgmental space, where you can explore yourself and work towards the change you are looking for. Mara will ask thoughtful questions, explore what holistic wellness feels like for you and support you in naming environments that are causing distress. Mara comes from a holistic perspective, taking a mind-body approach, believing well being is tied into all other aspects of life. She utilizes techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems, Narrative, and Person-Centered.
Outside of working at Ellie, Mara enjoys traveling to visit friends and exploring new places with her partner, being outside and watching the squirrels with her cat.
