Maggie graduated with her Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver in 2015 and has since gained experience working in a variety of therapeutic settings. Maggie is passionate about working with children, families, and young adults. Maggie specializes in Animal-Assisted Therapy and is often accompanied by one of her two goldendoodle co-therapists, Oscar & Ellie. She is Phase II certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics through the Neurosequential Network established by Dr. Bruce Perry. She has extensive experience working with children and families who have experienced trauma and works closely with caregivers to provide a better understanding of the impact of trauma on the brain and a child’s development. She offers a variety of different modalities in her work that best fit the client including CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, art and narrative therapy.
