Lucas Taylor, LCPC/ LPC

Clinic Director

I am Lucas Taylor, a professional mental health and addictions counselor clinically licensed in both Kansas and Missouri. I have a master’s degree in counseling and fifteen years of experience working with individuals and groups in outpatient, community mental health, and acute crisis settings.

I have assisted people as young as age 10 recover and heal from issues related to depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, relationship/family conflict, behavioral disorders, problematic sexual behaviors, substance use/addiction, grief/loss, insomnia, and coping with life’s transitions.

I bring a relational, transparent, person-centered approach to therapy, as I believe a trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation for healing. I am proficient in providing cognitive-behavioral interventions, rational-emotive behavior therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and evidence-based approaches to treat the effects of trauma, including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, and cognitive processing therapy.

I believe in the inherent dignity and value of every individual and feel privileged to assist them on their road to recovery. Clients can expect to feel respected, without stigma or judgment, as they learn to show that same loving kindness to themselves and others.
