Lori A Ekholm, LMFT

Therapist

Lori believes that therapy is a collaborative experience between client and therapist, and emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship. Her kind, compassionate, and genuine approach creates a warm  and supportive environment where clients can tell their story, identify their strengths and develop new  insights. She utilizes a person-centered approach and believes that the client is the expert of their own experience.

Lori integrates a variety of treatment modalities tailored to the specific needs of the client, and draws mainly from humanistic, person-centered, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and DBT therapies to help clients develop new insights, skills, and solutions. Lori is also trained in EMDR , which is an evidence-based therapy that’s useful for working through past trauma, anxiety, and self esteem/shame concerns.

Lori works with couples and individuals ages 12 and up.

Outside of work Lori enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her pets (a dog and a cat). She enjoys gardening, hiking, doing crossword puzzles, and listening to classic rock.
