Lisa Goldberg, LPC, NCC

Therapist

Lisa is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut, and a National Certified Counselor. She earned her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Lisa’s counseling approach is that no matter what the circumstance, everyone deserves a safe space, free from judgment or expectations from which to explore their life challenges. To foster such an environment, she uses multiple modalities to craft a unique integrative approach particular to each client by drawing from their unique needs, strengths, and goals. Using compassion, encouragement, directness, and humor, she strives to create a partnership with her client and to work together towards forming and reaching goals both big and small. It is within the collaboration between therapist and client Lisa believes healing begins as she provides the safe space that allows the client to be vulnerable, face painful truths and partner with her on their journey toward living their definition of a better life. Being an LPC is a second career for Lisa who began her professional life as a television news producer. Lisa specializes in treating mental health issues in adults such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, alcohol use disorder and grief.
