Lauren Alman is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a strong commitment to helping children and young adults navigate life’s challenges. Lauren holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) from Florida State University and further pursued her passion by achieving a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Florida Atlantic University.
Lauren specializes in supporting individuals who have encountered trauma, abuse, neglect, ADHD, ADD, Pre/Post Adoption issues, foster care, LGBTQ+, self-esteem challenges, behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, OCD, and mood disorders.
Drawing from a diverse range of therapeutic models, including Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, Solution-Focused, motivational interviewing, and Strength-Based Theory, Lauren tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
Lauren’s is trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Infant Mental Health, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Adoption Competency Training, and The Adoption Competency (TAC).
Lauren has pursued additional trainings to incorporate play therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Art Therapy techniques into her practice.
Creating a safe and non-judgmental environment is at the core of Lauren’s therapeutic philosophy. She believes that by engaging in play, children can communicate more effectively and develop a
stronger sense of self. Through her empathetic and client-centered approach, Lauren empowers her clients to freely explore their emotions and experiences, fostering meaningful growth and healing.
