Kristen Neisen, MA, LADC, LPCC-IT

Therapist

Kristen is an Alcohol and Drug Counselor and mental health therapist. She received her Master’s at Adler Graduate School in March 2023. She has worked with those of all ages and backgrounds, but, she finds that she is passionate about working with trauma, addiction, sexual concerns, and LGBTQ+. She enjoys working with adults, teens; and everything in between. Her true passion is with angsty teens for two reasons. First, she understands that those behaviors come from somewhere and that they are a symptom of other issues. Secondly, she can sometimes feel like an angsty teen herself from time to time. Kristen works from an Adlerian, Psychodynamic, and Existentialist approach. Meaning, she believes that our past and our family influence who we are. She values an individual’s need for belonging and to have a life’s purpose.

In her free time, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family and 3 cats. She wears the badge of ‘cat lady’ proudly. She is an outdoor person who enjoys hiking, camping, and water sports. Kristen has a strange, unique, and charming personality. Chockful of random useless facts; it is this unique personality that makes her exceptional at connecting on a deeper level.
