Kinga (Kris) Hoover is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Master’s Degree from Case Western Reserve University and over 15 years counseling experience with individuals, couples, families, and groups, ages 9 and older. With empathy, compassion and creativity, Kris helps and empowers others to deal with life challenges related to depression, anxiety, couples and marital therapy, life transitions, domestic violence, abuse, post- traumatic stress, and health related issues.
Kris applies techniques from evidence-based therapies — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Structural and Strategic Family Therapies, Solution-focused Brief Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy, Couples Therapy, and Group Therapy — to provide a comprehensive, holistic approach in helping others improve their overall well-being.
Kris’s assistant is her dog Teddy, with whom she has been volunteering in various venues in the community for over 7 years. Please see Teddy’s Bio. Outside of her work, Kris enjoys theatre, concerts, hiking, golfing, trying out different restaurants, and going on surprising new adventures.
