Kim is a born and bred Hoosier and earned a BA in Criminal Justice and MA in Arts Administration from Indiana University. She obtained an MA from Ball State University in Counseling Psychology and has several years’ experience as both a therapist and administrator. Kim is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She has worked in addictions for several years and has become an expert in trauma including developing a Women’s Trauma program for two organizations and will be offering Women’s Trauma groups as well as other Trauma services at our Fishers clinic.
Kim believes the most powerful gift we can offer each other in this world is validation. “I see you; I hear you and despite what you may have experienced in life, you are loved and worthy.” She believes in creating a safe space that allows individuals to have the opportunity to share their trauma and express their feelings. Kim is trained in EMDR and uses these concepts to explore core negative beliefs that have contributed to low self-worth, self-loathing, and destructive patterns. She gently challenges these beliefs and shine a light on their true traits of resiliency, beauty, and strength. Having had the honor of working with thousands of individuals, Kim wholeheartedly believes in the power of therapy and know that recovery, healing, and restoration is possible for anyone.
Kim’s pride and joy in this life is her teenage son, and close second are her three dogs: Benard Grey, Silas Bo and Billie Ray. Kims favorite hair color is blue and loves to make people laugh. She loves bright colors and cannot fathom the concept of wearing matching socks or earrings.
