Katy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Prolonged Exposure. With her background in DBT, Katy enjoys teaching clients concrete skills to manage thoughts, behaviors and emotions that are interfering in their quality of life. Katy is passionate about helping clients build a life worth living and heal from their traumatic experiences. Katy believes in the values of compassion and authenticity and how they impact the therapeutic relationship. She works under the assumption that the therapeutic relationship is a real relationship between two equal individuals, and it is one of the most important components of therapy.

When she is not at work, Katy can be found on the farm making hay or spending time with her horse. She enjoys training and competing her horse in dressage. You can also find her hiking with her dog or reading a book.
