Katherine is a licensed graduate professional counselor. She worked in the mental health field, providing therapeutic support for children, adolescents, and adults in residential settings for a year before pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Vanderbilt University. She completed a year-long clinical internship where she provided individual therapy sessions to children and adolescents in foster care, and offered family support and parent coaching services. Katherine is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families to foster healing and growth at both an individual and family-systems level. In her work, she implements an integrative, trauma-informed approach. Katherine’s approach to conceptualization and treatment is holistic, recognizing the interconnected nature of biological, psychological, and social factors. She also values person-centered care, and empowers her clients to collaborate with her in the therapeutic space, and emphasizes the importance of clients’ values and goals for their treatment. She hopes to help her clients process their past and present struggles, to foster positive growth and wellness.
