Kate Cervantes, MA, LPC, CADC

Therapist

Kate is a dedicated and compassionate therapist with a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has experience working with a wide range of clients, including individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction recovery, and relationship challenges. Kate also works with children ages 6+, teens, and adults, helping them build resilience and confidence as they work toward healing and personal growth.

With a client-centered and goal-oriented approach, Kate tailors therapy to each individual’s needs, ensuring they feel supported and empowered in their journey. She is passionate about trauma recovery, particularly in helping individuals rebuild their lives after domestic violence and divorce. As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Kate understands the widespread impact of addiction and provides a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for those seeking support in their recovery.

Kate believes that therapy is a collaborative process, where clients take the lead in setting goals while she provides guidance, education, and encouragement. She also has a strong interest in incorporating therapy dogs into her practice, recognizing the healing power of animals in the therapeutic process.

Outside of work, Kate is a devoted mother and dog lover who enjoys continuing her education and helping others discover fulfilling career paths.
