Karmin has over 5 years of experience helping people of all ages and from all backgrounds. Her expertise is in working with children that have histories of severe trauma, neglect and abuse. She is an attachment and bonding specialist. She believes children express their feelings through their hands and can benefit greatly from various play therapy modalities. Although working with children is her first love, she also enjoys helping adolescents and adults with issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety and grief and loss. She provides individual, couples, and family counseling. She predominantly uses a family-systems approach, cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. She is able to provide faith-based counseling as well. To maintain her own well-being and self-care Karmin enjoys traveling, golfing, birding and is an animal welfare advocate and supporter. She is a dog mom to a blind malt-poo rescue who of all things is named, Ellie.
